01. Requirements

You don't need exactly the same setup I'm using, but this is what my shSMS server will be set up with:

• Raspberry Pi 4 (8gb)

• 64gb SD Card (Samsung EVO Plus Mode 3)

• Ubuntu Server 20.04.3 LTS

• Ngrok Basic account ($60 /year)

  • This is not actually required and they do offer a free plan, but there are limitations. I'll eventually link other methods, but for me, $5 a month is worth it. And it comes with two fixed domains so I can use one for shSMS and have another one for whatever other random project I decide to take on next.

I think that should be all for now, let's install Ubuntu on our Pi!
